About the job

Are you a nursing assistant who is studying or has another life situation that makes you want to work on weekends? We are now looking for a nursing assistant for Galeasen short-term/rotating care who wants to work most of their working hours on weekends and in return receive a lower weekly working time. Here, you will perform a vital job for our municipal residents in need of our help.

Galeasen is located at Ågårdsskogen Care Centre. Here we support people who need short-term care/rotating care and day activities. We are now looking for you who enjoy helping other people. You are positive, outgoing, have a high sense of responsibility, and enjoy working in a team close to colleagues.

Tasks

The work consists of care work adapted to the individual. You help the residents with hygiene, social interaction, stimulation, and activation, as well as providing support in medical and rehabilitative tasks. You work independently but have good cooperation skills and participate actively in teamwork.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who take responsibility for your tasks, have the ability to create security, and to meet and understand the user's needs. As a person, you have the ability to take initiative and create trusting relationships based on care and empathy. It is natural for you to work independently but also to cooperate actively in a team. You need to have an orderly mind, flexibility, and stress tolerance, as there can be more to do during certain periods of the day, which requires flexibility in planning work with colleagues and taking responsibility for your tasks by, for example, completing a started task and following routines.

Requirements:

• To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must be able to show the employer proof of protected professional title for nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a certificate from a previous employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.
• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good reading comprehension. Basic digital competence.
• Experience from care and social work is meritorious.

Meritorious:

• Care and social college diploma.
• Experience of similar work.
• Experience of documentation.

Conditions

We are looking for a nursing assistant who wants to work a weekend service, which means working every weekend and at least 10 work shifts/4 weeks scheduled on weekends. Weekend work includes shifts from Friday evening to Sunday evening. The weekly working time for the weekend service is 32 hours/week, and 10 shifts correspond to an employment level of 62.5%.

If there is a desire for a higher employment level, more shifts will be scheduled on weekends or weekdays based on the employee's and the organization's needs.

The position is fundamentally a permanent employment, and work in the weekend service is scheduled for a limited time by the employer.

Your employment will be within Social Welfare of Lidköping Municipality with placement at Galeasen, which means that you may occasionally work in other units.

Start date according to agreement.

Selection takes place continuously during the recruitment period.

Salary range: We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For the position, the monthly salary is between 26,500 – 35,000 SEK depending on experience, education, and competence.
