RESPONSIBILITIES

As a mother tongue teacher and study supervisor, you are expected to participate in professional development, and you may also attend conferences and study days. An introductory education will be offered in connection with the start of the term. The coordinators and mentors at the Language Centre will serve as support in the pedagogical and practical work.

We are currently seeking mother tongue teachers/study supervisors in Kakwa, Swahili, and Urdu.

Instruction in the mother tongue is conducted based on national guidelines, which means that you plan, conduct, compile, and document based on the central content of the course syllabus, as well as make assessments based on the set purpose and current knowledge requirements.

As a study supervisor in the mother tongue, you will support students' knowledge development in Swedish in various school subjects. You will work in close collaboration with class and subject teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Your mother tongue must be Kakwa, Swahili, or Urdu.
• You need to have good or very good knowledge of Swedish. Teacher education in mother tongue or other pedagogical/academic education is meritorious.
• You have good IT skills, and it is meritorious if you have experience using IT tools in teaching.
• We place great emphasis on personal suitability and teaching experience. We have high demands on interaction and action competence.

• Duration: 6 months or longer.
• Start date: 2026-08-01
• End date: 2027-06-30
• Working hours: Daytime.
