About the role
In the role of personal assistant, you help the customer with whatever arises in their daily life. Personal assistance is a service according to the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons). Every customer is unique, and the tasks vary based on individual needs.
The work may, for example, involve help with mobility, personal care, training, communication, as well as daily chores and activities in and outside the home. You respect the customer's self-determination and integrity and contribute to making daily life function in a safe and smooth way.
To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the customer. Since every assistance situation is unique, we will learn more about you during the recruitment process to create the best possible match.
At Humana, it is important that both you as an assistant and the customer feel secure in the collaboration. Therefore, all new assistants receive a tailored introduction, both to the professional role and to the specific customer you will be working with.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are good at building good relationships, have a high level of commitment, want to take responsibility, and adapt easily to new situations. Since all our customers have different needs and wishes, we ask you to answer the selection questions as clearly and thoroughly as possible – this increases the chance that we can match you with the right assignment.
We are now looking for you who meet the following criteria:
have a manual Class B driver's license
have good knowledge of Swedish and are very clear in your communication
are non-smoking during working hours
are flexible enough to step in when regular staff is absent
The following qualifications are also meritorious:
experience working as a personal assistant or in similar work
experience communicating using body language and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
experience with low-affective approach (LAB)
experience working night shifts with waiting time
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
Working hours and employment type
As a casual employee, you work as needed with one of our customers in Ljungby. Working hours vary based on customer needs and are scheduled as 24-hour shifts with 7.35 hours of waiting time – on both weekends and weekdays. We strive to match your availability and wishes with the operational needs as much as possible.
Start date
Start date is by agreement.
Working at Humana
A prerequisite for starting an employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
According to legislation, we as employers must request a certificate from the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brå) for all employees who are to work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years of age. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police criminal record and suspicion register prior to any employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
