About Us

The Endoscopy Section is a unit within the Department of Surgery and Urology. Currently, we have an operating surgeon primarily based at the section, alongside an operating nurse and another nurse currently in training. Additionally, both gastroenterologists and surgeons perform procedures at the unit.

The unit boasts a welcoming work environment staffed by nurses, assistant nurses, secretaries, and dishwashers, all contributing to a positive atmosphere. We perform gastroscopies and colonoscopies with interventions. Our staff is trained in propofol sedation. Furthermore, certain interventions are carried out in the central operating theatre, such as ERCP, variceal ligation, and PEG placement.

To ensure competence supply and uphold quality, we view education as a central part of our operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Endoscopic procedures with interventions.
• Screening colonoscopies.
• Training future endoscopists and further education for less experienced endoscopists.

Your Qualifications

You are a specialist in surgery or medicine. You have extensive endoscopic experience and a strong interest in education. You wish to participate in shaping our endoscopy unit with quality and the patient in focus as key principles. There is an opportunity for section leadership for an interested and driven individual. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Permanent employment preceded by a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
