About Us

The physiotherapy clinic at Mälarsjukhuset provides rehabilitation in both outpatient and inpatient care. The work in inpatient care is rewarding but at times demanding, as we play a crucial role in the discharge process. The physiotherapy group operates from shared premises that we share with occupational therapists and rehabilitation nursing assistants. This ensures that colleagues are always close by to ask questions, reflect with, receive help from, or provide help in daily work.

We are now looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist and have a special interest in long-term rehabilitation on an inpatient ward.

Your Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist linked to the rehabilitation units, you will meet patients with, among other things, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and neurological diseases.

The work includes assessments, formulating rehabilitation goals, and performing rehabilitation measures tailored to each individual.

Based on your assessment, you will draw conclusions regarding the type of rehabilitation the patient needs.

In addition to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, speech therapists, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, and neuropsychologists work within the department.

Patients on the ward require longer-term inpatient rehabilitation before discharge. Collaboration with outpatient care is a key part of the patient's discharge process, as is cooperation with the municipality.

Assessment, prescription, and fitting of assistive devices are also among the most common tasks. Home visits may occur as part of the rehabilitation.

We help each other across ward boundaries, which means you will have the opportunity to gain insight into and experience working on other wards.

Weekend duty may occur.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed physiotherapist. You have good collaboration skills, as you will work in a team with occupational therapists, speech therapists, dietitians, social workers, nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors. Collaboration also takes place externally with, for example, municipal services. You are flexible and adaptable to the situation. You are also structured and responsible for your tasks. We appreciate that you are confident in your role and have good self-awareness. As home visits may occur, a driver's license (Category B) is desirable.
