Familjeenhet Ling is one of three family units in Uppsala Municipality. The team consists of 17 family therapists and one unit manager. As our new colleague, you will join a dedicated team that strives to be the best support for strengthening families. You will experience collegial support and teamwork, as well as the opportunity to work independently.

Our family unit serves children and young people aged 0-20 and their families. The role of a family therapist offers great variety. You will work both at the office and at families' homes, meeting families in various settings in the area. You will collaborate with various actors in society, such as schools and maternal and child health care. At the Family Unit, you will have excellent opportunities to develop professionally over time.

Description of Duties

As a family therapist, you will work with children, young people, and their families based on self-referrals and benefit decisions, as well as providing advice and support to families through outreach and preventive work. You will work with child-safe practices and in family centers. This is done in collaboration between the municipality and the region.

To be the best support for children, young people, and their families, we work with a variety of methods and support measures tailored to the specific situation. We focus on early interventions and preventive work, offering various parent education programs and groups such as COPE, ABC, FöS, and infant groups. For you as a family therapist, this means you will receive method time, further training, and external supervision. We hope you will contribute to the development of our operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or another higher education qualification that the employer deems relevant for the position, for example, a behavioral scientist. To succeed in this role, you have previous experience in therapeutic work with children, young people, and their families. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position.

It is meritorious to have education in:

• Signs of Safety,
• Violence in close relationships
• Systems theory
• Basic psychotherapy, step 1.

In your role, you have the ability to put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings. You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a listening and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. In your work, you see the big picture and take the broader perspective into account. You understand your role but always consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
