Our operations at Utslussen Training Apartments in Uppsala are now seeking to strengthen our team.

The ideal candidate should be recently graduated with a genuine interest in learning more about the target group and working methods of the organization.

We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis during the application period. Probationary employment applies.

The educational requirements for the position are a degree in Social Work (Social Worker) or alternatively a post-secondary education of at least two years focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant field.

Applications without the above-mentioned educational qualifications will not be considered.

Additional qualifications are desirable, such as training in CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and CRA or other evidence-based methods.

As an applicant, you must have good written communication skills, as part of the job involves documentation in the form of case notes, monthly reporting, and the creation of implementation plans.

Other requirements:

  • Personal suitability, strong commitment, and a solid value base.
  • Self-motivated and with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Valid Driver's License (Category B).
  • Police Certificate of Good Conduct (No criminal record).
  • Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written (required for work language and documentation).
  • Experience working with youth with psychosocial issues is an advantage.

About the position:

The role of Housing Support Worker involves psychosocial work with young people who require significant support in their daily lives. Through your engagement, you will build important relationships with the young people.

We work in a structured manner with a salutogenic approach, focusing on the strengths and what works for the young person.

The role involves supporting young people in our training apartments across Uppsala to achieve a functional daily life, as well as acting as a contact person for some of the young people. You will be responsible for creating implementation plans according to BBIC standards, documenting interventions, and preparing monthly reports.

It is important that you are self-motivated and have a strong sense of responsibility, as your workday is largely planned in collaboration with your colleagues. You should be organized and able to adjust your plans with short notice, as the workday can vary significantly from start to finish.

To be suitable for the position, you must reside in Uppsala and have a living situation that allows for scheduled on-call duty at home.
