About the assignment:

The client is a man in his 30s with autism and an intellectual disability. As a personal assistant, you will support him in his daily life. This includes accompanying him in his daily routine, anticipating and preventing difficulties, and helping him with basic daily tasks that he cannot perform independently. Experience with low-arousal approaches is an advantage.

We are looking for you who:

• Are between 25–50 years of age.
• Have experience working with individuals with similar disabilities or within other LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities) operations.
• Follow instructions well and are humble.
• Can create security by maintaining important routines with foresight.
• Have a driver's license and access to a car to commute to work.

Working Hours and Employment Level:

Working hours range from 08:00–20:00 and 20:00–08:00, with some on-call duties. There is double staffing around the clock, with varying times for day/evening and awake nights according to a rotating schedule. We are currently seeking two assistants who can work approximately 80%.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a certificate of good conduct from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. To ensure the safety of our clients at SAAND Assistans, we obtain extracts from the criminal record register for all individuals we hire. Therefore, you will need to present a certificate from the police criminal record register prior to any potential employment.
