Avarn Security is now looking for engaged and service-oriented Safety Wardens who want to create safety, build relationships, and be a positive presence in people's daily lives.

 

With us, you will have an important role in preventive safety work, where your approach, engagement, and ability to build trust contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for customers, visitors, and the general public.

 

About the role

As a Safety Warden, you are an important part of the work to create safe and pleasant areas. By being visible, accessible, and engaged, you contribute to preventing insecurity, vandalism, and other disturbances in everyday life.

 

A large part of the job involves people. You build relationships with residents, visitors, young people, and young adults, create dialogue, and become a natural contact person in the area. Through collaboration with associations, leisure activities, field assistants, and other local actors, you help strengthen community and create a positive environment for everyone.

You work with safety presence, service, and relationship building. You wear work clothes that clearly show that you are a Safety Warden and work primarily on foot among people, although some movement between different areas and operations may occur.

Work location: Lund

Working hours: The work is scheduled for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Duration: Employment based on need, with a 6-month probationary period.

Start date: According to agreement.

Salary: According to collective agreement.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Prevent vandalism and insecurity through visible presence and relationship-building work.
  • Build long-term relationships with residents, citizens, young people, and visitors.
  • Conduct socially crime-preventive work in collaboration with local actors.
  • Visit youth centers, meeting points, associations, and other gathering places.
  • Collaborate with field assistants, leisure staff, municipal operations, and other societal actors.
  • Create trust and dialogue between young people and adults in the area.
  • Assess disturbance situations and take appropriate measures.
  • Observe, document, and report deviations, incidents, and events.
  • Create reports in the customer's documentation and reporting system.
  • Contribute to a safe, pleasant, and welcoming environment.

Who are you?

You have a genuine interest in people and understand the value of relationship-building work as a tool to create safety and prevent crime and vandalism. You feel comfortable meeting young people, adults, and people in vulnerable situations, and have the ability to build trusting relationships over time.

You work independently, take initiative, and have good judgment in situations requiring assessment and decision-making. At the same time, you are team-oriented and see the value of working together with the municipality, associations, and other local actors to create safe and sustainable environments.

Qualifications

  • Upper secondary education or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience from service, security, customer, or care work is an advantage.
  • Ability to make qualitative assessments of disturbance situations and determine appropriate measures.

Merits

  • Class B driver's license is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality legislation is an advantage.
  • Security guard training is an advantage.

For employment, you must be crime-free, drug-free, have sound finances, and be in good health and physical condition.
