The South-Eastern Scania Fire Rescue Authority (SÖRF) was established in 2000 and includes the municipalities of Simrishamn, Sjöbo, Tomelilla, and Ystad. The authority employs approximately 170 people, of whom 45 are full-time employees. Operations are run from one full-time station and six part-time stations.

The Positions
SÖRF needs to strengthen staffing in Ystad with a full-time firefighter position. We also need to cover a maternity leave, so we are additionally seeking a one-year temporary replacement.
The full-time firefighter position currently involves five rotating shifts with split days and night shifts on weekends. The role primarily consists of 80% operational duty and 20% administrative/operational time. This results in a weekly hour count of 42 hours/week, with duty covering all hours of the day, in accordance with Appendix R.
Since a firefighter at SÖRF works within a broad spectrum of tasks, we welcome applicants with experience in education, project work, and other relevant competencies within the basic operational area of fire rescue services.

Start Date and Scope
Start date is by agreement between employer and employee. The position is permanent at 100%, but a probationary period may apply depending on previous experience and competence.
The position may be subject to a security clearance, which you as an applicant must be willing to undergo.
