Sydöstra Skånes Räddningstjänstförbund (SÖRF) was established in 2000 and includes the municipalities of Simrishamn, Sjöbo, Tomelilla, and Ystad. The association has approximately 170 employees, of whom 45 are full-time. The association consists of one full-time station and six part-time stations.

SÖRF is looking for two combined positions focused on workshop, vehicles, logistics, training grounds, and operational work.

The Association

At SÖRF, there are good opportunities to work broadly and contribute to development to meet the future together. We have an organization where all employees can participate in various ways to drive the business forward, with close connections between our professional groups. The organization adapts to the future by creating and maintaining the possibility of a flat structure where we distribute responsibilities and tasks based on the needs of the business and individual interests. SÖRF envisions a firefighter/commander with an interest in workshop and vehicle management, responsibility for logistics and training grounds, who can also match this with some operational work within the full-time organization.

SÖRF is investing in combined positions to create opportunities to handle daily strategic work while simultaneously strengthening the operational organization.

The Position

The positions are primarily daytime hours but are linked to operational activities through membership in a shift team. Firefighter competence is a requirement.

The positions will focus on tasks within vehicles, logistics, workshop, and training grounds, meaning the role is based during daytime hours. This implies a weekly time frame of 40 hours/week with service according to the Collective Agreement for Fire and Rescue Services (AB) and any local agreements. Coordination with the shift team takes place during daytime when work shifts overlap for training and competence development. In case of need within operational activities, the combined position is available for operational shifts according to the current schedule for full-time firefighters: five shifts rotating with shared days and nights, and night duty on weekends.

The goal of these positions is to create flexibility in the organization, allowing us to have roles that can work with a clear focus and good workplace environment planning across our broad mandate.

Qualifications

Required Competencies

  • Approved training as a full-time firefighter or SMO (Coordinated Reception), or
  • Part-time firefighter training (RIB) with several years of experience, or
  • Other rescue training deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Category C driver's license is required

Meritorious Competencies

  • Good understanding of fire and rescue operations
  • Experience in project/team management is meritorious
  • Experience in workshop work, technical work, and training/material planning

Job Duties

The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsibility and project management of training grounds
  • Work with vehicle and material service, inspection of vehicles and materials
  • Responsibility and planning for SÖRF’s logistics within the operational area
  • Responsibility for capability development within subject area or sub-area
  • Operational service in shift team
  • Support for training and exercise activities
  • Preventive work and regulatory enforcement

We value the individual and strive to create a good social work environment; therefore, personal qualities are important to us.

Start Date and Scope

Start date by agreement between employer and employee. The position is permanent at 100%. Probationary employment may be considered depending on previous experience and competence.

The position is subject to security clearance, which you as an applicant must make yourself available for.

Salary and Agreement

  • Individual salary setting applies
  • The Collective Agreement for Fire and Rescue Services (AB) applies to the position
  • Local agreements may be relevant
