JOB DESCRIPTION
The position is a combined role where you work both as a building permit case officer and a building inspector. You are responsible for the entire process, from handling to technical aspects, and you drive your cases independently. The types of cases you will work with vary based on your specialized knowledge and the department's needs, and can thus vary among all case types the unit is responsible for. The position places high demands on the ability to work systematically, prioritize between different tasks, and handle different types of cases in a professional manner. You use your time efficiently and work systematically, organized, and methodically. You follow up on cases and ensure they are concluded, but you are also a team player who, together with the group, works for an open work climate where all case officers help each other, support each other, and are given the opportunity to develop, take responsibility, and contribute to the operations.
A large part of the job involves giving advice, information, and service to private individuals, business owners, as well as other stakeholders and authorities. The work entails significant responsibility in many interesting and sensitive decision-making situations, and as a case officer, you will play an important role in contributing to a sustainable and well-functioning built environment in the municipality. The tasks place high demands on communication skills, sensitivity, and relationship-building abilities.
