Occupational Health and Safety Engineer with a focus on health and safety!

At NCC, we view occupational health and safety as one of our highest priority areas. As our current Occupational Health and Safety Engineer for Division South is taking on another assignment, we are now looking for his successor. If you are passionate about occupational health and safety issues and want to work in a culture characterized by a strong focus on health and safety, you are welcome to join us! About the role of Occupational Health and Safety Engineer As an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer, you are the division's expert in the occupational health and safety field. Locally, you are an important support for the division management and for our employees in ongoing projects, both in the design and production phases. You collaborate with, for example, project managers, site managers, foremen, and safety representatives, contributing your expertise already in the early stages. Through regular project visits, follow-up of incident reporting, and by coaching and training staff in preventive occupational health and safety work, you actively contribute to our goal of zero accidents and a work environment free from work-related ill health. Your responsibilities also include working on central issues for both NCC Sweden and Building Sweden. Centrally, you contribute to developing NCC's occupational health and safety work together with colleagues from all business areas within Health & Safety Sweden. The work includes both shorter projects, such as the introduction of new requirements and conducting internal audits according to ISO 45001, as well as ongoing development and management of our management system. You report to the Occupational Health and Safety Manager for Building Sweden and are part of a team of Occupational Health and Safety Engineers located in several cities in Sweden, who are happy to share their knowledge and experience. About the Business Area Building Sweden The Business Area Building Sweden consists of ten divisions stretching from south to north. Division South carries out contracting activities in Scania and Halland, with projects varying in size and complexity – from residential construction to commercial properties. Today, we are approximately 250 engaged employees. Your profile as an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer You have a university degree in occupational health and safety combined with a few years of relevant work experience, or alternatively, longer practical experience in the field. Experience from the construction and civil engineering industry is considered meritorious, as is experience in leading projects or assignments at a central level within the occupational health and safety field. You thrive working independently but also enjoy working closely with and alongside employees in production and in the office. You also like to work flexibly as your tasks will vary from operational work out on our projects to more strategic occupational health and safety issues at the central level. You are also a proficient user of various IT systems. We use Synergi as our reporting system. You feel comfortable communicating both in groups and in individual conversations. You communicate fluently in both spoken and written Swedish and English. What NCC offers NCC wants to be an attractive employer with employees who thrive and develop, which is why we offer you a wide range of employee benefits and internal training. NCC has collective agreements for all employees, which gives you a good basic security and a clear set of rules so you know what applies to your employment. We also offer insurance, reduced working hours, wellness benefits, and lunch benefits. Further offers and discounts can be found via our benefits portal, Benify. Additional information The position is a permanent employment with the location in either Malmö, Helsingborg, or Kristianstad. A Category B driver's license is required as our projects are located in Scania and Halland. In accordance with NCC's safety culture, we conduct background checks on our final candidates.
