Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
The City of Stockholm is now recruiting a licensed psychologist to the National School for the Physically Disabled (RGRH) in Stockholm. RGRH offers students with severe physical disabilities an adapted upper secondary education with student assistants and habilitation services. We also offer student housing for students living outside of Stockholm County. The habilitation team consists of a cross-professional workforce.
RGRH Stockholm offers smaller teaching groups at St. Erik's Upper Secondary School. Here you will find the Social Sciences programme, the Arts programme, and the Introduction programme (individual alternative). Students can also choose to study other programmes in large classes at St. Erik's Upper Secondary School or another upper secondary school in the City of Stockholm. Habilitation interventions are scheduled into the school timetable based on the student's needs and are carried out at RGRH/St. Erik's Upper Secondary School.
We offer an stimulating and enjoyable workplace with opportunities for development. RGRH/St. Erik's Upper Secondary School is HBTQI-certified.
Your role
As a psychologist at RGRH Habilitation, you collaborate with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and speech therapists in a team centered around the patient. Great focus is placed on independence and becoming an adult, with the goal that the young people feel equipped for the future after completing their upper secondary education.
The duties include standard psychological interventions within habilitation, such as counseling and assessment. This may, if necessary, be done in collaboration with teachers, student assistants, student housing staff, and school health services. In addition to individual-focused work, there is also work regarding group activities, theme days, and similar initiatives. The work includes documentation such as writing journals and certificates.
The work with us is varied as you are responsible for both psychological treatment, psychological assessments, diagnosis, functional assessments, as well as mapping needs and providing individually adapted interventions. Furthermore, you are expected to participate in educational/group interventions for the youth, guardians, and the wider network. You plan interventions together with children, young people, families, the habilitation team, and other networks such as schools, child and adolescent psychiatry, social services, and more.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Experience and knowledge of young people with severe physical disabilities, as well as work within habilitation, are strongly meritorious. We would also appreciate if you have experience with developmental and psychological assessments. The work places high demands on teamwork skills, as we work in teams, while also requiring you to be able to work independently. You are a curious and socially skilled person who can plan your workday while remaining open to the fact that days do not always go as planned. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Meritorious
- Previous experience from habilitation
- Knowledge of various disabilities
- Experience with counseling and assessments
- Experience working with children and young people
We look forward to your application!
