Employment and Integration is a unit within the Individual and Family Care services. We are constantly working to improve our ability to help people enter employment or education. One of our employment consultants is now looking to try their wings elsewhere. We therefore have a need for an employment consultant who enjoys motivating people to take on challenges and achieve their full potential, while acting as a support for individuals, employers, and educational providers in this process.

The Social Services Department consists of 600 employees with a broad range of assignments. The department is divided into five operational areas and is located throughout the municipality. Here, responsibility lies in providing care, support, service, health, and medical care to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life.

A day as an Employment Consultant in Employment and Integration

The role of an Employment Consultant involves mapping out individuals' prerequisites and guiding, supporting, and matching them to employment or studies.

Employment and Integration has project funding from the ESF to support people who are far from the labor market into employment or studies.

You will work with participants with complex support needs and have close contact with employers, both private and public. A large part of the work involves collaboration with other actors in individual cases. As an Employment Consultant, you document and follow up on the individual's planning.

Employment and Integration in Krokom works based on the BIP study and uses IPS-inspired methods to achieve the best results.

Your Competence

For this position, you need:

• An academic education in a relevant field such as social work, behavioral science, study and career guidance, or rehabilitation science.
• Experience working with newly arrived immigrants, long-term unemployed, or people with mental health issues.
• A valid driver's license (Category B).

To succeed in the role of Employment Consultant, you have a strong interest in labor market and education issues and are solution-oriented. You have the ability to work independently as well as a well-developed ability to collaborate. You are comfortable with employer contacts and have good documentation habits.

It is desirable that you also:

• Have experience working with the IPS method or MI (Motivational Interviewing).
• Have knowledge of the results from the BIP study.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Other Information

Project employment 100% for the remainder of the year (with possible extension) starting as soon as possible.
