Welcome to AVA!

At AVA, you will meet patients with acute care needs, 24/7, year-round. There is a high patient throughput and short care periods, meaning the work is varied, challenging, and developmental. AVA offers a structured introduction for new employees with mentorship, all to ensure a secure start. We also work with competence support available for both new and experienced staff, allowing us to strengthen the department's competence and support you in all daily challenges.

We have newly renovated facilities and a modern paging system with digital control boards that contribute to good and safe communication.

AVA is an educational department with committed nurses as student supervisors and assistant nurses as basic supervisors, who supervise according to the Peer Learning model. We work for interprofessional learning with person-centeredness as a foundation. Working with education is important to us, and the goal is to also include medical students in the interprofessional supervision.

Job Description

As a nurse, you contribute to providing high-quality care and nursing. You participate in and are responsible for general and specific nursing care with a focus on person-centeredness and patient safety. You are a support for the patient and their relatives and are responsible for ensuring the patient receives information and feels involved in the care. We work in teams consisting of nurses and assistant nurses, where each care team has 6-8 patients. You will also work in close collaboration with other professions in the units. Teamwork and communication are important factors for safe care and a secure work environment. The job also includes participating in and contributing to our operational development.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Previous experience from working on a care ward or within emergency care is meritorious.

Since the tasks and workload at the department vary, you need to thrive with a varied pace, be able to adapt accordingly, and simultaneously provide good care. You should have good collaboration skills and be able to communicate with patients, relatives, and other employees in a trustworthy manner. Personal suitability is highly valued.
