Description

PAVA - Psychiatric Emergency Care Unit, a unit with short care durations in the acute phase. For you who enjoy a faster pace, coordination, and interaction with various psychiatric diagnoses!

We are looking for you who are interested in psychiatry and helping patients in acute illness states. PAVA is a smaller unit with 10 care beds, offering you the opportunity to work closely with patients. We offer a well-functioning unit with a positive, competent, and experienced staff group. At PAVA, you will have the opportunity to gain broad psychiatric competence.

Since spring 2022, the unit has been located in newly built premises at the hospital in Skövde. The premises are specially adapted and designed to provide conditions for modern and efficient psychiatric care that creates security and well-being for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

As a nurse, you are responsible for nursing care in close collaboration with other nurses and professions. You are responsible for the planning and coordination of care for individual patients.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse. Specialist education in psychiatry is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and you should have an interest in working with psychiatric patients and their needs. We are looking for someone who is positive and open to seeing the individual patient's needs. You should be flexible and enjoy that no two workdays are alike. You must have good teamwork skills as the work involves both team collaboration and cooperation with other healthcare providers.

Other Information

For appointments within psychiatry, we require extracts from the crime register. This request is handled by the employer.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts during the first year of your employment with us. It includes introduction days, supervision and training days, as well as observation days. The purpose of the Clinical Foundation Year is to create good conditions for newly graduated nurses to strengthen their theoretical knowledge, practice skills, and grow into their new profession.

In the event of recruiting nurses with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish license/specialist certificate.
