About Us

At OrthoCenter in Gothenburg, we provide elective, highly specialized orthopedic care with the entire care chain under one roof – outpatient clinic, surgery, ward, and rehabilitation. We have approximately 95 employees with various professions, including doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, sterile technique technicians, physiotherapists, medical secretaries, and accountants. We operate on both day surgery and inpatients. The ward primarily cares for hip and knee replacement patients, but other major orthopedic procedures may also require an overnight stay with us. We have three operating theaters and operate during daytime hours, Monday to Friday.

Your Role:

On the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), specialized nurses work in close collaboration with nurses on the ward and the operating department. We assist in preparing patients before surgery, and our tasks include premedication, inserting peripheral intravenous catheters (PIV), shaving, and cleaning the surgical site. Post-operatively, we care for patients until they are well enough to be discharged, either to the ward or directly home for our day surgery patients, who make up the majority. We are keen on fast and efficient patient flows and constantly improve working routines to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible, allowing us to provide first-class orthopedic care.

About You:

We are looking for you with specialized education in anesthesia or intensive care for a position on the PACU at Capio OrthoCenter in Gothenburg. You will work Monday to Friday and be available for work on both the ward and the recovery unit.
