Audiologist for HØR – Traveling Role, Norway
About HØR
HØR is Norway's leading private chain of expertise in hearing, hearing aids, tinnitus, hyperacusis, misophonia, and custom-molded earplugs. Founded in 2016, the company currently operates six clinics across Norway and offers video consultations and home visits nationwide. HØR describes itself as holistic specialists in ear health and hearing, focusing on the individual – without referrals and without waiting times, and with a hearing aid fitting guarantee. At HØR, time with the patient is highly prioritized. Every visit is characterized by thorough examinations, individually tailored solutions, and continuous follow-up, creating security for patients and contributing to high customer satisfaction. Now, HØR is growing and seeking a traveling audiologist for its clinics in Norway!
About the Role
We are looking for a traveling audiologist who will cover several of HØR's clinics in Norway. This is a permanent position directly employed by HØR – you are an employee of HØR, not a consultant – and you will be based in a home location in Norway, traveling to clinics as needed, typically for 2–4 days per location. HØR covers accommodation and travel to each location you visit. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a modern private hearing clinic with longer patient appointment times and greater clinical responsibility than many are used to from Sweden.
Your Responsibilities
- Hearing tests and hearing examinations
- Fitting and follow-up of hearing aids
- Tinnitus examinations
- Ear cleaning
- Custom-molded earplugs via 3D scanning
We are looking for you who
- Hold a three-year bachelor's degree in audiology
- Have Swedish licensure as an audiologist; Norwegian licensure is applied for prior to start, and we will guide you through the process.
- Have at least 2 years of clinical experience as an audiologist
- Are flexible and willing to travel, as the role involves traveling to different clinics
- Have a genuine interest in moving to Norway and are open to learning the Norwegian language
Experience with tinnitus, hyperacusis, or misophonia treatment, as well as broad clinical experience, is meritorious but not a requirement.
Why Norway?
- Competitive salary – As an audiologist in Norway, you can expect a starting salary that is clearly above Swedish levels, plus an additional travel allowance per trip.
- Greater responsibility and freedom – You work more independently with longer patient times, unlike the more assisted role common in Swedish regional healthcare.
- Secure employment conditions – Permanent employment directly with HØR, including pension benefits, health insurance, and 25 days of vacation.
- Quality of life – Norway offers a unique opportunity to combine career with nature-oriented environments, outdoor life, and high quality of life.
Norwegian Licensure – We Help You
The processing time for Norwegian audiologist licensure is normally 6–12 weeks. We will coordinate the timeline with you based on your current notice period and guide you through the entire application process.
Scope
Employment Level: Full-time
Employment Type: Permanent
Start Date: As agreed
Workplace: Traveling, with home base in Norway – covering clinics in Oslo, Trondheim, Sandefjord, Fredrikstad, Bodø, and Grimstad
