About us

Närhälsan Älvängen Health Centre is a stable and well-functioning unit with competent and experienced staff. Approximately 7,700 patients are registered with us. We offer a broad range of services including acute care, scheduled doctor's appointments, Child Health Services (CHS), and several nurse clinics, including those for diabetes and asthma/COPD. The health centre also has a psychosocial team consisting of a psychologist, a CBT therapist, and a rehabilitation coordinator. Our CHS is located in newly built premises and is part of Älvbarnens Family Centre in Älvängen.

Älvängen is a pleasant and growing town with good transport links. The health centre is centrally located, close to the Göta River, with easy access to both train and bus, making commuting convenient from both Gothenburg and Trollhättan.

About the role

Your duties at the health centre cover a broad field and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You will work with clinic operations and digital healthcare encounters in primary care.

You and your colleagues form a team with the opportunity to develop the operations. We achieve success together in an stimulating learning environment with open doors and a welcoming climate. The role also includes supervising ST (specialist training) and AT (internship) doctors as well as medical students; it is an important part of our mission to train tomorrow's healthcare personnel. We offer you varied work with good development opportunities, for example through continuous education of ten days per year.

About you

You are a licensed physician with specialist training in general medicine and are eligible to work within the Swedish healthcare system. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, at level C1 or higher according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement for the position.

We are looking for someone who can work independently but still wishes to participate in the development of operations. In your work, you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are attentive and have a good manner of interaction. You thrive in teamwork, and collaborating with colleagues and other partners is second nature to you.
