Are you someone who enjoys combining technology, project management, and improvement work? We are currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for an exciting assignment with a leading industrial company.

In this role, you will become a key part of projects related to new and rebuilt production equipment. You will work to ensure that the equipment is reliable, maintenance-friendly, and ready for stable production even before it goes into operation. The role involves close collaboration with both suppliers and internal functions, where you contribute your expertise in mechanical maintenance throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Examples of responsibilities:

  • Participate in concept and design reviews with a focus on operational reliability.
  • Conduct mechanical inspections and participate in delivery acceptances.
  • Ensure that spare parts and wear parts are available prior to commissioning.

You are also responsible for developing preventive maintenance plans, creating maintenance instructions for both technicians and operators, and ensuring that all maintenance documentation is correct and complete. This role is ideal for you if you thrive in long-term work and want to contribute to efficient and sustainable production.

We are looking for you who

You have experience with mechanical maintenance in the industry and have worked in technical projects or close to project organizations. You have a good understanding of how preventive maintenance is structured and are accustomed to working with spare parts management, technical documentation, and improvement work. Experience in design or concept reviews from a maintenance perspective is considered an asset.

You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English and thrive in a role where you collaborate with colleagues.

Start: As agreed
Location: Gothenburg
Scope: Full-time
Travel: Occurs within Scandinavia. Approx. 4–5 travel days per month, distributed over 1–2 weeks.
