About the Role

The power grid must function every day, all year round. Behind this are people who build, develop, and fix faults when they occur. Ulricehamns Energi Elnät is now seeking an experienced Distribution Electrician for our operations in Ulricehamn. Here, you will apply your professional expertise in a local company where safety, collaboration, and responsibility are key parts of the work.

Responsibilities

As a Distribution Electrician, you will work with construction, connections, troubleshooting, and repairs in the electricity distribution network within voltage levels of 0.4 to 40 kV. The assignments include both planned interventions and fault resolution during operational disruptions. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Building new parts of the power grid, as well as carrying out renovations and connections • Laying and connecting cables, as well as installing cable cabinets and network stations • Troubleshooting and rectifying faults in low-voltage and high-voltage networks • Installing, replacing, and checking electricity meters and associated equipment • Carrying out new installations, maintenance, and repairs in the street lighting network • Documenting and reporting on completed work You carry out assignments independently or together with colleagues, depending on the scope of the work. Contact with customers, contractors, and other parts of the business is common. The work is mainly scheduled during daytime hours. On-call duties are included in the position.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

We are looking for you who have experience as a Distribution Electrician and feel confident working in the field. You can plan and execute your assignments and have a good understanding of the requirements for quality and safety within electricity distribution. Requirements • Relevant electrical technical education • Experience from electricity distribution or equivalent experience • Experience working with low- and high-voltage systems • Experience working in switchgear • Experience with cable laying • Experience working with network stations • Valid B driver's license • Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written • Good computer skills Merits • Electrical authorization/certification • Industry-specific training, e.g., ESA, Hot Work, or Work on the Road • BE or C driver's license Equivalent experience may include a longer background in industrial electricity where you have worked practically with construction and installation in technical environments close to electricity distribution. As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, and accustomed to creating order around you. You maintain your composure when conditions change and can make thoughtful decisions when the situation demands it. You collaborate well with others and communicate professionally with colleagues, customers, and external contacts.

The company has approximately 100 employees and works to ensure that Ulricehamn Municipality is a safe and functional place for residents, businesses, and visitors. Ulricehamns Energi Elnät is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ulricehamns Energi AB and is responsible for the operation and development of the power grid infrastructure. In this role, you will be employed by Ulricehamns Energi Elnät.
