Do you want to help build the high-automated production of the future? We are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for an exciting company in Skövde, where you will have the opportunity to be involved from the procurement phase and influence how future production equipment is designed, installed, and maintained!
About the role:
Our client is one of Europe's leading players in driveline technology, developing and producing advanced drivelines for some of the world's top vehicle manufacturers. You will become part of an experienced team within Maintenance Engineering, where mechanics and electrical specialists work closely together throughout the entire project lifecycle. The role is project-based and gives you the opportunity to influence the future production equipment already from the procurement and design phases, all the way through to installation, commissioning, and handover to production.
Together with project managers, operators, production staff, suppliers, and technical specialists, you will ensure that new and modified production equipment meets high requirements for operational reliability, maintainability, and quality. The role also involves travel to machine suppliers, primarily within Europe but also internationally, for technical reviews, delivery inspections, and test runs of new production equipment.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will among other things:
- Participate in concept and design reviews from a maintenance and operational reliability perspective.
- Collaborate with machine suppliers regarding technical solutions and component selection.
- Conduct mechanical delivery inspections and test runs.
- Develop preventive maintenance plans.
- Develop maintenance instructions and training materials.
- Structure and quality-assure maintenance and equipment documentation.
- Be involved in the installation, commissioning, and handover of new production equipment.
We are looking for you who:
- Have at least 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within manufacturing industry. Of these years, at least 2 have been in a project-based role.
- Have a secondary education, preferably with a technical focus.
- Have experience with maintenance processes, preventive maintenance, and operational reliability work.
- Possess good knowledge of mechanical engineering, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Have good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as both languages are used in daily work.
It is not a requirement, but an advantage if you:
- Hold a post-secondary education in mechanical engineering, maintenance technology, or equivalent.
- Have experience with procurement, delivery inspections, or collaboration with machine suppliers.
Furthermore, personal suitability will be highly valued. To thrive in this role, we believe you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You enjoy understanding how machines work and are driven by finding long-term technical solutions rather than temporary fixes. You work independently but appreciate collaborating closely with other specialists in cross-functional projects. Since the role involves many interfaces, we also see that you are communicative and find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues and external suppliers.
