Your role

As a Mechanical Technician at Mölndal Energi, you will play a key role in the daily work of ensuring high availability and operational reliability in our heat and cooling production facilities. The role has a clear operational focus and includes both preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance.

You will work with repairs, improvement projects, replacements, and installation of new equipment in our facilities. The tasks are varied and also include welding. A large part of the work involves executing work orders arising from fault reports, planned maintenance, and annual maintenance shutdowns, as well as emergency repairs when needed.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with the operations organization and other functions within Heat and Cooling. During certain periods, especially in connection with revisions, you may also take on a more supervisory role towards external contractors. On-call duties may be included in the position.

Personal qualities and qualifications

We are looking for someone who thrives in an environment where collaboration, flexibility, and personal responsibility are crucial. Since the organization and work group are relatively small, it is important that you are unpretentious and willing to help out where needed. You have a solution-oriented approach, are stress-resistant, and can handle multiple tasks in parallel without compromising on quality.

You are meticulous, structured, and able to remain calm even in situations requiring quick action. You contribute to a good working atmosphere and see opportunities in change and development.

You likely have:

• A high school education with a focus on workshops, mechanics, or equivalent
• Several years of experience in mechanical maintenance within production facilities, the energy sector, or similar operations
• Experience in repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment
• Welding skills and preferably welding training
• Knowledge of hot work
• Good computer skills and experience working in digital maintenance systems

Additional qualifications that are meritorious:

• Training in cranes, forklifts, or wheel loaders
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Some knowledge of tribology
• Basic understanding of pressurized equipment

As we conduct safety-sensitive operations, a security clearance will be conducted for the final candidate.
