Do you want to work with the operation and monitoring of our production facilities?

Your assignment is varied and broad, involving everything from control room work and operational optimization to electricity production nomination and rounds at our facilities.

We are currently looking for two control room engineers/operations technicians for the Heat and Cooling business area, one for day shifts and one for rotating shifts.

Control Room Engineer Mölndal Energi

Your Role

Here, you will work with the operation and monitoring of our production facilities for district heating, district cooling, and electricity production. You will share responsibility for daily production optimization.

In this role, you will gain extensive knowledge of our facilities, ranging from combined heat and power plants to smaller boilers on the district heating network. You will work with the optimization and operation of our production systems as well as electricity production nomination.

For the shift role, you will work in pairs with a colleague in the shift team, while in the day role, you will work more independently in close collaboration with the rest of the operations.

Development is moving at a rapid pace at Mölndal Energi as we expand our facilities and continuously improve existing systems. You will be part of our emergency response organization and report to the Operations Manager.

Who are you

Since we work in shift teams of two people, it is important to be responsible, self-reliant, and structured. You enjoy monitoring, conducting rounds, and tackling problems that arise during your shift, both theoretically and hands-on. We believe you can handle sudden disruptions but also detect them before they occur.

You likely have:

  • Operational training from a technical university or equivalent education.
  • Experience with district heating/district cooling or similar processes.
  • Experience with control systems such as 800xA or similar.
  • Good IT maturity and familiarity with digital tools and working methods.
  • Experience with solid fuel combustion is a merit.
  • Category B driver's license.

As we are a security-classified operation, we always conduct background checks on final candidates.

What we offer you

Here, you will work with socially vital infrastructure. We can offer you a varied and developmental job where your contribution will make a difference every day – without energy, Mölndal stops.

Mölndal Energi is a workplace driven by working together, engaged, and efficiently. A key to our success is competent and engaged employees who feel responsible for their work. You will join a friendly and open culture that recognizes each other and works long-term.
