About the position

We are looking for you who are an assistant nurse (undersköterska) or, alternatively, a care assistant (vårdbiträde), and who want to be an important part of our residents' daily lives. You will work with standard care tasks, with a special focus on safe and quality-assured care. The role also includes delegated tasks from the nurse, such as medication administration.

The position is for night shifts.

Please note that Blidösundsgården is located on Blidö, an island in the beautiful archipelago of Norrtälje. To get here conveniently, you need to have a driver's license and access to your own car.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Standard tasks for assistant nurses/care assistants.
• Care of residents.
• Documentation.
• Cleaning and laundry.

About our offer:

We offer an annual wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK. For those working part-time, the amount is adjusted proportionally according to your employment level. You can read more about our benefits here.

About you

For this position, you need:

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• A driver's license and access to your own car, if you do not already live on or near the island.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Education as an assistant nurse with a certificate of protected professional title to be employed as an assistant nurse - otherwise, you will be employed as a care assistant where education is not a requirement.
• Experience working in elderly care.
• Experience with mental illness and dementia.
• Good computer skills, as documentation and signing are done digitally.

As a person, you are flexible and secure. You have empathy in your interactions with others and a genuine interest in working in the profession. You have good collaboration skills, take responsibility, and have the ability to remain calm and make wise prioritizations even in more demanding situations. You take initiative, are self-reliant, and care about providing good service.

About us

We welcome you to Blidösundsgården. We have 14 apartments with staff on duty 24/7, year-round. The staff group consists of 14 employees, day and night. The facility has its own cook. Our goal is to create homes that we would choose to live in ourselves. We offer you stimulating work with many memorable meetings with our elderly residents and their relatives. What all our facilities have in common is that they are run with engagement and warmth.
