Are you an experienced nurse who wants to contribute to the further development of our operations while building on your knowledge and competence in cardiology? We are looking for new colleagues to join our competent team who wish to contribute to the development of tomorrow's cardiac care!
What we offer
- An induction program tailored to the operations as well as your previous experience and competence.
- The opportunity to become part of a multidisciplinary team that supports each other, where close and effective collaboration is of great importance.
- An exciting and developing job with stimulating tasks in a varied environment.
- An inclusive and present leadership where we see every individual and strive to give you the best conditions for your continued professional development. We invest in competence development and value the knowledge and experience you contribute.
Do you lack housing in Stockholm? We have recruitment housing where you can be offered accommodation during a transition period while you search for a home at your own pace.
Of course, you will also benefit from our general benefits offered by Karolinska University Hospital!
About the position
We offer a rotational position where you work 50% on Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and 50% on the Cardiac Ward/Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (HIA).
Our activity within Angio includes elective patients who come to us from all over the country to undergo PCI, valve interventions (e.g., TAVI), and other angio interventions. We also perform acute procedures within coronary intervention, ECMO, and other acute interventions.
On the HIA, patients with acute heart disease are monitored and treated. Examples of diagnoses include myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, heart failure, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, pericarditis, myocarditis, and respiratory insufficiency with carbon dioxide retention, which require close monitoring and treatment with sophisticated medical equipment.
We provide so-called HIA Class-1 care here, which means the highest level of monitoring and treatment within the theme.
You will be part of a team with nurses and doctors with specialist competence in interventional cardiology. As a nurse, you will have various tasks during procedures/interventions. This may involve assisting the doctor in sterile attire during interventions, performing nursing care measures, and other tasks in and outside the operating room.
The position is a permanent full-time role, primarily located in Huddinge, but work at our unit in Solna may occur as we collaborate closely within OE Angio. The position also involves weekend shifts (two weekends out of six) and on-call duties.
We are looking for you who
- Work well together with others but also independently.
- Enjoy working with both acute and elective operations.
- Are good at thinking new thoughts and adapting to new conditions.
- Have good communication skills.
- Feel secure in your professional role and have a positive basic attitude. You treat patients and colleagues with care and respect and contribute with knowledge and enthusiasm.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse.
- At least 1 year of experience from cardiology, acute care, or thoracic surgery.
Merits:
- Experience from PCI or other interventional activities.
- Specialist Nurse with a focus on intensive, acute, or cardiac care.
About the recruitment process
Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
In connection with your application, you need to attach a CV. Instead of a cover letter, we ask you to answer selection questions and briefly motivate why you are suitable for the role. Answering the questions is a prerequisite for your application to be considered complete.
For assistant nurse positions, we clarify under this heading that proof of protected professional title/grades must be sent with the application, and for executive recruitment, information about tests is added.
