About the position

We are looking for you who are a nurse assistant (undersköterska) or alternatively a care aide (vårdbiträde), and who want to be an important part of the daily life of our residents. You will work with standard care tasks, with a special focus on safe and quality-assured care. The work also includes delegated tasks from the nurse, such as medication administration.

The positions are at an employment level of approx. 75%.

Please note that Blidösundsgården is located on Blidö, an island in the beautiful archipelago of Norrtälje. To get here conveniently, you need to have a driver's license and access to a car.

Your duties include among other things:

• Standard tasks for nurse assistant/care aide.
• Care of residents.
• Documentation.
• Cleaning and laundry.

About you

For this position you need:

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Driver's license and access to a car, if you do not already live on or near the island.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Education as a nurse assistant with a certificate of protected professional title to be employed as a nurse assistant - otherwise you will be employed as a care aide where education is not a requirement.
• Experience working in elderly care.
• Experience with mental illness and dementia.
• Good computer skills as documentation and signing are done digitally.

As a person, you are flexible and secure. You have empathy in meetings with other people and a genuine interest in working in the profession. You have good cooperation skills, take responsibility, and have the ability to maintain calm and make wise prioritizations even in more demanding situations. You take initiative, are self-reliant, and care about providing good service.

About us

We welcome you to us at Blidösundsgården. We have 14 apartments with staffing around the clock, year-round. The staff group consists of 14 employees day and night. The residence has its own cook. Our goal is to create residences that we ourselves would choose to live in. We offer you stimulating work with many memorable meetings with our elderly residents and their relatives. What is common to all our residences is that they are run with engagement and warmth.
