About the position
As an Operational Pedagogue within personal assistance, you serve as a crucial support function. The role requires competence regarding disabilities, recommended working methods and approaches, as well as the ability to apply a holistic perspective at the individual, group, and organizational levels in daily work.
The role also includes responsibility for developing and quality-assuring the operations' working methods together with the unit manager. Close collaboration with other operational pedagogues within other areas of functional support is common.
Examples of duties:
- Identify development needs, initiate improvement measures, and follow up on evidence-based knowledge on behalf of operational management.
- Participate in working groups to develop internal training and educate and guide working groups in working methods and knowledge-based methods using good pedagogical and didactic skills.
- Support the unit manager in connection with implementation plans, analysis of quality deviations, planning of measures, and initiation of new cases.
- Develop forms of collaboration with relatives and cross-professional teams.
- Ensure that work is conducted in accordance with current laws, policies, routines, and guidelines.
- Use operation systems and digital tools and document according to governing documents.
- Support employees in the implementation plan work.
About the workplace
The workplace is located at Åbylunden 1 in western Örebro, where the operation's five unit managers and the operational manager also have their workplaces. These are the managers and operations that you will support in their work.
In addition to the location at the office on Åbylunden 1, the work is also carried out in the clients' homes around Örebro Municipality.
The Functional Support area of the Social Services provides support and services to people with physical and mental disabilities in accordance with the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disability Groups (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Qualifications
In the role of Operational Pedagogue, your work is characterized by a service-oriented and quality-conscious approach. As a person, you are proactive, receptive, and invite dialogue. You are also structured, systematic, and clear, and have a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Additionally, you have the ability to work both independently and in a group.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- University/college education of at least 180 hp with a pedagogical focus such as social worker, behavioral scientist, leisure pedagogue, special educator, social pedagogue, or other education deemed suitable by the employer.
- Documented experience of working with people with disabilities.
- Category B driver's license.
- Experience of low-affective handling.
- Experience of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC).
Merits:
- Experience of development work to strengthen the clients' influence and participation.
- Knowledge and work experience of the personal assistance service.
- Experience of working in operation systems e.g., Lifecare.
- Experience of working in a politically governed organization.
