About the role

You are the hub around the residents' health and medical care efforts, working to provide quality of life. You are responsible for ensuring that medical orders are followed. You regularly conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure good quality in operations.

Collaboration and support

You are part of a team with care staff, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. An important role for you is to coach and educate the care staff so that together you can give each resident the best possible life. In this job, you work closely with the residence's group managers who are responsible for the care staff. Our group managers also coach and work together with the teams in daily work.

Getting to know the residents

Understanding the residents' wishes and noticing small changes in their health and disease conditions is often crucial for correct assessments and decisions.

To create security and clarity for you as a nurse, there is comprehensive support in the form of practical and easily applicable routines, policy documents, and checklists.

About Ametisten

Ametisten is a modern nursing home in Solna with 80 places – 32 with a somatic focus and 48 with a dementia focus. We offer individually adapted care with heart, integrity, and choice.

The residence has an activity profile focusing on history, literature, film, and theater, in collaboration with, among others, the local heritage society, Filmstaden, and Solna Library. Young people from Ung Omsorg visit the facility and contribute extra joy and community to everyday life.

A nurse is available around the clock with us. Ametisten is operated on contract on behalf of Solna Municipality.

Your experience and knowledge

You are a registered nurse, and we would like you to have worked a few years in elderly care. Our residents are often multi-morbid, which requires that you have both broad knowledge of different diseases and conditions as well as an interest in the aging human being. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important.
