Job Description
Do you want to join us on the journey where we support our customers towards safer and more reliable production? We are currently looking for driven and experienced Machine Safety Specialists who want to contribute to developing and strengthening our growing team! The demand for qualified support in machine safety is increasing rapidly among our customers, and we need to expand our team to meet this demand. If you want to create real value for both our customers and our team, this is the role for you!
As part of AFRY's Industry Division, you will become a key player in the Nordics' largest Safety organization, a collective force of over 150 experts in occupational safety, machine safety, process safety, fire protection, as well as civil protection and emergency preparedness, distributed across approximately 30 offices in Sweden. Here, you will work at the forefront alongside the European Commission, standardization bodies, and national authorities to influence and develop future safety requirements.
As a Machine Safety Specialist at AFRY, you will work with qualified and developmental assignments related to machinery and facilities for some of Sweden's most exciting industrial operations. Since our offering is cross-industry, your assignments may vary between different sectors such as: Manufacturing, Process Industry, Metal & Mining, Energy, Food & Pharmaceutical, Construction, and Civil Engineering.
You will become an important partner to our customers by identifying and interpreting product and user directives, thereby helping them ensure that their facilities or products meet all requirements for safe and secure operation. You will be part of our national specialist group, where you can work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues.
Your tasks may include, among other things:
- Expert advice regarding machine safety & compliance with legislation
- Training in risk assessment methodology, CE marking, and documentation
- Machine risk assessments and compilation of technical documentation
- Support in CE marking of machinery or machine lines
- Comprehensive assignments from a machine safety perspective, as well as from the perspective of user directives
The location is flexible. We have the opportunity to hire in several locations in central Sweden, such as Stockholm, Uppsala, Gävle, Västerås, Karlstad, Falun, or Borlänge. Travel within and outside Sweden may occur in this role.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Have several years of documented experience working with machine safety
- Have good knowledge of the EU Machinery Directive (and preferably the Low Voltage Directive) and harmonized standards, and a good understanding of machine risks and functions for both mechanics and electricity
- Are accustomed to leading risk assessments
- Have a technical education at the upper secondary level and/or university level, or equivalent
- Are proficient with computers and have good knowledge of the Office package including SharePoint
- Hold a valid B driving license
- Have good language skills in both English and Swedish
