Stockholm – our capital city of millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
Do you want to make a difference and are passionate about working with the child in focus? The Investigation and Family Law Unit is looking for you who are interested in a permanent position with a start date to be agreed upon. At our workplace, participation and helpfulness are valued, and in our daily work, we have great support from each other as well as from group leaders and unit managers. We collaborate closely with other colleagues in the unit as well as with colleagues in other units. As a social secretary, you will also collaborate with external actors such as the police, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), preschools, and schools to ensure that the children we come into contact with get the best possible upbringing conditions.
The Investigation and Family Law Unit consists of 13 brave, helpful, and engaged social secretaries, as well as group leaders and unit managers, who share responsibility for the families, children, and young people who come into contact with us.
About the Investigation Group
The unit consists of an investigation group and four family law secretaries. The investigation group will now be expanded with one additional social secretary, bringing the total to ten competent social secretaries. The daily work is led and distributed by a group leader.
We offer
You will become part of a health-conscious workplace where you receive an annual wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK. We offer holiday exchange, the possibility of remote work if the job allows, and flexible working hours. The work is varied and developmental.
During the year, work has begun to clarify the child's voice throughout the entire case processing process. We also place extra focus on developing sustainable working methods in working with high-conflict families, together with family law and family therapists. As an employee, you have an important role in being involved and contributing to our development work!
Collaboration is an important part of daily work. Work is underway, among other things, to implement the "Break Up Cases" model for cases where someone has been exposed to domestic violence. The model aims to co-process cases with other units as much as possible, so that the individual does not have to tell their story more times than necessary.
As a social secretary in the investigation group, you will collaborate closely with school coordinators to ensure focus on the schooling of placed children, as well as with SIG coordinators focusing on youth in crime.
The workplace is located at Fleminggatan 4 on Kungsholmen, a short walk from the T-Centralen metro station.
Your role
The main tasks in your role as a social secretary in the investigation group are to investigate, assess, and follow up on the need for support measures regarding children and young people aged 0–20, in accordance with BBIC, evidence-based methods, and current legislation.
We are each other's work environment, and each person functions as an important cog in a larger context, which is why it is important that you are a team player who can look up and see the operations as a whole, even during times when the pace is high.

We are looking for you who have:
- A degree in Social Work (Social Work Bachelor's or Master's)
- Several years of experience working with authority enforcement regarding children and young people
- Understanding and good knowledge of current legislation in relevant areas.
- Good ability to express yourself well both verbally and in writing.
We will place special emphasis on the following personal skills and abilities: As a person, you are confident in yourself and drive your work forward in a structured and efficient manner. You have good collaboration skills where you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. You are clear and trustworthy. You work from a children's rights perspective to ensure the child's right to be heard, and you analyze your decisions based on the best interests of the child. As we are in the process of implementing the new Social Services Act, it is also important that you are brave and curious, and find it exciting and stimulating to break new ground.
