2 Social Secretaries to the Reception Unit for Financial Assistance, Work and Livelihood, Huddinge Municipality
The Work and Livelihood unit belongs to the Upper Secondary School and Employment Administration in Huddinge Municipality, which works with financial assistance and the municipality's labor market initiatives.
We are now looking for two more dedicated social secretaries who put the individual at the center of their work, one for our reception team and one for our new application team!
The recruitment is partly due to one of our employees moving on to new professional challenges, and partly due to an upcoming parental leave. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a unit where collaboration, development, and professional treatment are at the center.
About the job
The Reception Unit for Financial Assistance is organized into five teams: the reception team, the new application team, investigators, the eviction prevention team, and refugee reception/new arrivals. The unit is led and supported by two experienced group leaders and a unit manager.
The reception team is responsible for conducting an initial assessment of the need for financial assistance, investigating municipal residence, and determining if the user is covered by the social insurance system. The work includes staffing the reception to provide correct information and counseling at an early stage. It also includes investigative measures such as home visits and investigations in cases of short-term need for financial assistance. To make accurate assessments, handle urgent cases, and identify which users are entitled to which support, flexible and efficient case handling is required. You will work both individually and closely within the team.
The new application team is responsible for taking over cases where the reception team has determined that a longer-term need for financial assistance exists. The team conducts new visits, writes investigations, and prepares calculations. As support in the work, there are two investigators who compile information when requested documents in the case have arrived. As a case handler in the new application team, you need to have a curiosity about individuals' lives to be able to capture and identify areas of assistance to make decisions about the right to financial assistance in accordance with current legislation and guidelines.
When the financial investigation is completed and the need for financial assistance is assessed as long-term, the case is transferred to the Planning Unit, which creates plans for self-support.
The work requires careful checks and individual assessments based on the individuals' conditions, as well as internal and external collaboration. It is important that users receive financial assistance on correct grounds and in good time. The user should have done what they can themselves to solve their situation. We strongly believe in individuals' own abilities and in strengthening them.
About you
We are looking for you who have a social work degree and experience within financial assistance, preferably both in a reception and investigative function.
The role requires that you are structured and goal-oriented to achieve a qualitative result together with users. You will meet individuals in different situations and with different conditions, which means you need to be flexible and have good communication skills. There are tasks that you have the opportunity to plan, but parts of the work are urgent-driven, which requires that you are a person who is responsive, flexible, responsible, and can work both independently and in a team. At the same time, you need to be curious and have good collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We offer a developing and meaningful job in a competent and experienced work group, a good introduction, internal and external supervision, and a pleasant work environment.
