Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters, working long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will play a crucial role in the future – what matters is how we produce them. Become part of us and drive change for future generations.

Your Role

We are now looking for a mine worker for the Kristineberg mine who wants to be part of our operations and contribute to the work of mining ore and waste rock. The mining is done mechanically and follows a cycle that includes drilling, loading, blasting, crushing, hauling, and ground support through shotcreting and bolting, followed by rock transport.

We are in a development phase where new technology and modernization play an increasingly important role in the mine. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is curious about technical solutions and sees opportunities in how they can facilitate and improve the work.

To thrive in this role, it is important that you are responsible and can work independently. You have a good ability to take personal responsibility and handle autonomy in work, while valuing safety, quality, and good results.

The work is done in shifts every other week (even weeks) with varying morning and afternoon shifts, so-called 7–7.

Your Team

Teamwork and good cohesion are A and O here at Boliden, so good collaboration skills and attentiveness to your colleagues are a given. We want our employees to thrive and stay with us for a long time, and therefore we are happy to invest in you if you have ambitions to develop. Here, all employees actively participate in achieving a safe and good working environment where occupational health and safety issues have the highest priority.

Your Responsibilities

  • Mining ore and waste rock
  • Participate in the entire cycle – from drilling, loading, and blasting to crushing, hauling, and ground support with shotcreting and bolting
  • Transport rock
  • Collaborate closely with shift teams and other departments, such as electricians, mine builders, mechanics, as well as other internal and external colleagues

Your Qualifications

  • Upper secondary education and training or experience in mining
  • Machine experience
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Computer literacy
  • Driver's license for passenger car
  • Meritorious: Experience working as a mine worker or machine operator

We are a company consisting of responsible and creative people who all work towards the same vision; to become the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world.

Apply today to become part of something truly meaningful!
