We are looking for a Site Manager who drives production – from start to finished project – with a focus on workforce leadership, resource planning, and monitoring of time, cost, and quality.

The Role of Site Manager

As a Site Manager here, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, leading, and following up on the project execution within your area regarding time, quality, economy, and sustainability. You lead and distribute the work and are responsible for ensuring the project is driven in line with NCC’s guidelines and business systems, towards the project’s jointly set goals. You have a team at your disposal, including foremen, project engineers, project buyers, project managers, skilled workers, and more. Together, you create the best possible conditions for a good working environment, progress, and economy in the project. Here, you have good tools and working methods, as well as ample expertise available within the organization to support you in your role.

In the role of Site Manager, you will make great use of your leadership skills, as your task is to involve and engage the team in the project. You will lead a number of office staff and skilled workers in your daily work. We want our projects to be characterized by structure, order, and a good working environment, so to thrive here, we see these as natural keywords for you as well. You have many contact areas, and it is of utmost importance that you value good dialogue and collaboration both within the team, internally at NCC, and externally with customers and subcontractors. As Site Manager, you report to the Project Manager.

Your Profile as Site Manager

To thrive and be successful in the role, we see that you have several years of experience in a leading position driving construction projects of approx. 200–400 MSEK, preferably within public real estate. You have the ability to coordinate your own resources and subcontractors. You are confident in the leadership role and have a good ability to delegate and set demands. Based on this, we expect you to have a good understanding of cost control and experience in driving collaborative projects. You have a construction technical education or equivalent competence through practical industry experience. Furthermore, you communicate fluently in both Swedish and English.

About Building Norrland

We build and renovate both commercial and public buildings as well as housing throughout Norrland, from Sundsvall in the south to Luleå in the north. The department consists of approx. 200 engaged employees, both office staff and skilled workers, who together drive the projects forward with a focus on sustainable and long-term solutions.

Additional Information

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probation period. The role involves regular presence at our projects, which means we are looking for someone who lives – or has the opportunity to move – within Västerbotten County. Our initial projects are within commuting distance in the county. Start date is by agreement. A B-driver’s license is required as our projects are located where the customers are. The position is subject to background checks in accordance with NCC’s procedures. The department works with security-classified projects.
