As a Maintenance Engineer for Signals at Trafikverket, you help make daily life easier for residents and businesses throughout Sweden. You do this by contributing to the infrastructure of the future.

In the role of Maintenance Engineer for Signals, you support projects with technical expertise in operations and maintenance issues related to the signal technology area. Primarily, you will work in the base contract Långsele–Vännäs, Forsmo–Hoting incl. Botniabanan. There, you serve as a key resource regarding the planning, follow-up, and analysis of construction works within your technology area. You support internal and external stakeholders with local and regional knowledge of the district's operations, facility conditions, and needs. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will have contact with municipalities, contractors, construction managers, and the general public.

You will work partly in an office environment with our administrative systems and partly in the field to ensure that contractors carry out work according to the agreed contract as well as in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, ordinances, and internal work instructions.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has signal technology education within the railway sector.
• Has relevant and current work experience in railway signal technology.
• Has experience with administrative aspects in your work.
• Has a good ability to adapt to computer systems and is a proficient user of the Office package.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Has a driver's license for passenger cars.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have work experience from the maintenance of signal control panels.
• Have work experience from safety and maintenance inspections of railway facilities.
• Have knowledge of the ERTMS signal system.
• Have knowledge of contract law.

The employment is subject to a security check without placement in a security class. For employment, a passed result in the security check is required, conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
