At Etteplan, we work with advanced technology in close collaboration with leading industrial companies. We are now looking for a Technical Writer/Technical Communicator for assignments within the defense sector and other technology-intensive areas.

We are looking for someone who is curious about how things work and thrives at the intersection of technology and communication. You enjoy talking to experts, asking questions, and transforming complex information into clear and useful instructions.

About the role

As a Technical Communicator, you will become part of a team of technical writers, illustrators, and engineers who together create high-quality technical information for advanced products and systems.

You will:

• Create and quality-assure technical information
• Work structuredly in a CMS
• Gather and process information from technical specialists
• Transform complex technology into clear instructions
• Work both at the customer site and in teams with Etteplan colleagues

Who are you?

We believe you are a curious and structured person, with an interest and education in technical communication and some or several years of experience as a technical writer or technical communicator.

You have:

• Experience with structured information and CMS
• Preferably worked with DITA, XML, or similar systems
• A strong interest in technology, preferably linked to mechanics, maintenance, or production
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English
• Understanding of how text and illustration work together to achieve a good user experience

You are:

• Curious and inquisitive
• Structured and meticulous
• Good at building relationships with technical experts
• A team player who contributes to a positive and productive work environment

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience from the defense industry or safety-critical systems
• Knowledge of S1000D
• Knowledge of STE (Standard Technical Editor)
• Experience with ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) or maintenance-related work
