Fårösundsskolan is seeking a student assistant with professional qualifications

Fårösundsskolan is a school for grades F-9, part of the Northern Gotland school district together with Solklintsskolan F-9, Lärbro F-6, and Fole F-6. The school is located a stone's throw from the coast in Fårösund. We are looking for you who are a student assistant with professional qualifications and who are interested in a position that can develop over time in line with the life you want to live. The district is led by a principal and two deputy principals.

Your responsibilities

The position consists of two parts. During the school day, you work as a student assistant with students in the lower secondary school (grades 7-9). As a student assistant, you work closely with the student and the teacher. A large part of the work involves building relationships with the student and creating structures and routines for the student based on their needs and interests. Together with the teacher, you plan and carry out the student's school day, you participate in teacher-led lessons, and you are involved in the student's activities as needed. You may, if necessary, conduct your own teaching with the support of the teacher.

Most important for the work with the student is your ability to create secure relationships with the student and their guardians. You challenge the student in their learning and use your own creativity and broad pedagogical knowledge to create the best conditions for the student to meet the knowledge requirements of the compulsory school.

Outside of school hours, you are part of the leisure time activities as needed and perform associated tasks there.

The position is a temporary substitute position and is time-limited to one year with the possibility of extension.

You who apply are a student assistant with professional training.

It is meritorious if you, as a trained student assistant, have also worked as a student assistant and encountered children with special needs. Experience in conducting pedagogical work is also meritorious.

As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and responsible, and have a solution-oriented and low-affective approach. Relational competence is an important part of the assignment. You must have the ability to collaborate with the colleagues at the school.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
