Description

NU Hospital Group's adult psychiatry consists of both outpatient and inpatient care. Psychiatric outpatient care is the foundation of specialized psychiatry, with the goal of providing assessment, treatment, care, and support in the patient's immediate environment as much as possible. The target group is individuals in need of psychiatric specialized care. Psychiatric inpatient care consists of a general psychiatric section and a forensic psychiatric section. Within NU Hospital Group, we are responsible for forensic inpatient care for the regions of Fyrbodal and Sjuhärad. Discharge from forensic psychiatry takes place in collaboration with the forensic discharge team, which serves as the outpatient unit for forensic psychiatry.

We view the individual from a holistic perspective that takes into account physical, psychological, and social aspects, which is reflected in our wide range of treatment methods to meet the individual's needs at the appropriate level.

About the Position

As a Consultant Physician in Forensic Psychiatry with us, you will be part of a team consisting of doctors, psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, nurses, care assistants, and team secretaries. We can offer you exciting and stimulating work, where a focus on development within the unit and the clinic plays an important role.

You will work in a team-based manner where the physician's role has a central place, alongside colleagues and other staff with many years of experience. The Forensic Discharge Team is a collaboration partner for the ward team and follows individuals throughout the entire discharge process until forensic psychiatric care is discontinued.

On-call duties are included, and opportunities for research and supervision are available. We view the collaboration between the Consultant Physician and the Unit Manager as a key success factor for the departments. We also value a good working climate within the medical group and in the larger management group with managers and consultants.

There may also be an opportunity to combine the position with a role as Chief Consultant, which can be discussed based on interest and qualifications.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a Specialist Physician in Psychiatry; this is a requirement for the position. You have an aptitude for collaboration with both patients and colleagues. You communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
