Capio Lundby Specialist Hospital is located at Wieselgrensplatsen, less than 10 minutes by public transport from central Gothenburg. The new Hisingsbron bridge also makes it easy to walk or cycle here. Through an extensive care agreement with the Region Västra Götaland, we provide specialist care in dialysis/nephrology, surgery, medicine, psychiatry, ophthalmology, ENT, as well as a surgical unit within day surgery.

The Day Surgery Unit at Capio Lundby Specialist Hospital is a small and personal unit providing close and accessible care with a focus on quality and patient safety. The unit consists of a pre- and post-operative recovery area, three operating rooms, and a sterile supply unit. Approximately 2,000 surgeries are performed here annually within the specialties of general surgery, ENT, and ophthalmology. Within the ENT and ophthalmology specialties, we operate on both children and adults.

As an anesthesiologist with us, you will be part of a team consisting of ICU nurses, anesthesia nurses, operating room nurses, assistant nurses, and anesthesiologists. We are approximately 25 employees.

The position involves stimulating and independent work with fast-paced, intensive, and varied days. You will work with patients both pre-, peri-, and post-operatively.

We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in anesthesiology and intensive care with experience and competence in pediatric anesthesia.

For the right person, there is an opportunity for the position to include MLA (Medical Leadership Responsible Physician) responsibility, either from the start or in the future. In the role of MLA, you have overall medical responsibility for our day surgery, including associated pre-, peri-, and post-operative care. You work with continuous quality development, improvement work, and promote high patient safety. The role includes continuously monitoring, evaluating, and improving the day surgery's operational and quality goals.
