The Swedish Armed Forces are in an expansion phase and on a significant growth journey. The Armed Forces' cyber defense is an integrated part of the military defense and constitutes a military-strategic resource. The cyber defense has the ability to conduct offensive and defensive cyber operations, as well as to detect, identify, and counter threats from the most qualified actors. The effects of a cyberattack can have consequences for critical societal functions as severe as a conventional armed attack. As a cybersecurity specialist with us, you need to be prepared to defend Sweden and our allies both within and outside Sweden's borders. Our unit must be ready to meet an adversary at the state-actor level. Our operations require high precision and expert competence, which is why we are looking for the best in cybersecurity.
2. Cyber Defense Unit is looking for you who are at the beginning of your career as a technical specialist in cybersecurity. You who enjoy challenges, problem-solving, learning cyber technology in depth, and want to work and contribute in a well-composed team. As a junior employee, you will work with experienced colleagues where sharing expertise to strengthen the unit is second nature. You will integrate into the unit and gradually develop your competencies to go deeper in your role. You need to be solution-oriented and able to shift focus when necessary. We often work in different group constellations, which places demands on good collaboration skills among our specialists.

- Detection development

- CTI, tactical-technical level
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in cybersecurity
- Swedish citizenship
- Category B driver's license
Meritorious qualifications
- Cyber soldier training
- In-depth knowledge and proven experience in one of the following areas:
- Detection development, terrain analysis, reverse engineering, threat hunting, or CTI.
- Master of Science in Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Other relevant Higher Vocational Education (YH)

Those who lack basic military training will undergo the Swedish Armed Forces' general military training (AMU) to gain a basic understanding of military operations and personal skills.

Other requirements:
You should not tell others that you have applied for a position at 2. Cyber Defense Unit, except for those closest to you. The reason we ask you to be restrained with information is that there are positions at the unit covered by secrecy. Swedish citizenship is required for employment with the Swedish Armed Forces. The position has combatant status, which means you must be able to handle and use weapons. You will receive this training with us. A security check with register control will be conducted before employment. The selection process will be supplemented with work psychological tests.
Employment type: Permanent employment; a 6-month probationary period applies to you if you are currently not employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.

The General Headquarters (HQ) houses the Supreme Commander (ÖB) and the Director General (GD), who currently have approximately 1,000 employees – both career officers and civilian experts.
