BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik is in an expansion phase due to new billion-dollar deals!

We are now looking to strengthen our team with a Planner, where the role may also include purchasing tasks within the serial production of welded chassis and articles.

We are looking for you who are driven by workshop planning, with a focus on optimizing output against available capacity as efficiently and rationally as possible.

Your responsibilities:

  • Plan products and articles within sheet metal preparation, welding, and machining.
  • Capacity plan based on available capacity.
  • Secure correct lead times and quality by sourcing external OP-lego when needed.
  • Maintain article data in the business system SAP.
  • Re-plan as needed to ensure the schedule matches reality.
  • Monitor defects and deviations and identify corrective actions.
  • Report deviations to the nearest manager and department head.

You will be challenged to develop planning processes and methods. The role requires great commitment to work together with production engineering and team leaders to develop our working methods from the perspectives of producibility, quality, and lead time. You will participate in the department's and workshop's improvement work to streamline working methods and processes. The work is characterized by delivering work of the right quality, at the right time, and at the right cost. In case of technical, economic, or environmental deviations, you take corrective actions and report the progress of the work to your nearest manager.

The planning function is part of a section within BAE where serial production of chassis takes place. Within the section, we build chassis that become finished vehicles, utilizing all processes with high-tech machinery from cutting, bending, robot welding, machining, and painting.

Reporting is done to the Manager for Preparation/Planning/Purchasing.

About you

We believe you have relevant education in the field or equivalent experience. If you have practical experience in cutting machining, sheet metal preparation, and production technical work directed towards the workshop, it is considered an advantage. We would like you to have experience with business systems. As we are an international corporation, you need to have good knowledge of both Swedish and English.

As a person, you are structured and highly self-driven. You collaborate easily and thrive in an independent role. You are a problem solver who works in a service-oriented and goal-directed manner.
