Uppsala Vocational Gymnasium Jälla is a secondary school offering the Construction and Civil Engineering program, Electrical and Energy program, Plumbing and Property program, Natural Resource program, Vehicle and Transport program, and Introduction program. Additionally, special education and adult education are available on the school grounds. The school is located 6 kilometers from Uppsala's city center and currently has approximately 650 students.

On the Vehicle and Transport program, all staff collaborate to ensure that every student receives the education required by the industry. We work together and drive development forward. The school has well-equipped facilities and good collaborations with the industry in the region.

This position is a holiday service contract (ferietjänst).

Description of Duties

As a Transport Teacher on the Vehicle and Transport program, you will work with practical driving instruction for students pursuing B, C, and CE driver's licenses, truck training, and teaching in vocational courses and YKB (Professional Driver's License). Mentoring is included in the position. You will be part of a team working with approximately 50 students in year 2 and 3.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who hold B, C, and CE driver's licenses and a valid YKB. You need to be familiar with and have experience from the transport industry in the surrounding area.

• Experience in pedagogical work.

You have good collaboration skills and work well together with colleagues, students, and guardians by being attentive, flexible, and communicative. With your pedagogical insight, you have a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge from different premises, and you adapt your teaching and the way you convey content so that it is clear and accessible to everyone. You also show good judgment in your professional practice by making well-considered assessments and prioritizations in both pedagogical and social situations, with the student's best interest in focus.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
