Rosendal School is a Pre-K to 9 school with teaching taking place in the newly built school in Rosendal. We have fully equipped facilities to provide education for approximately 700 students in all subjects. The school is located in the western part of Rosendal and borders Stadsskogen. We work with IBIS (Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools) to create a positive basic attitude among everyone at the school. We have a fully developed student health team and work extensively with core values and safety.
The lower secondary school has four parallel classes, and Pre-K to 6 is growing. This autumn, there will be two parallel classes in grade 5 and one parallel class in grade 6.
Description of Duties
The position includes mentorship and teaching for our students in grades Pre-K to 3. You will collaborate closely and plan and evaluate teaching together with your grade-level colleague and also with other colleagues in grades Pre-K to 3. You will have close and continuous communication with guardians.
As a teacher, you are responsible for:
- Planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching according to the curriculum.
- Creating a structured and safe learning environment that promotes study peace and motivation.
- Meeting students at different knowledge levels through varied working methods.
- Documentation and assessment of students' knowledge development.
- Collaboration with colleagues, student health services, and guardians.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a Swedish teaching license or are awaiting a license with eligibility to teach in grades Pre-K to 3. To succeed in the work, you need to have several years of experience working in primary school and good knowledge of the school's governing documents as well as the primary school curriculum. The work requires that you have good oral and written skills in Swedish. Experience with language-developing working methods is considered an advantage.
You take initiative and launch activities that create engagement and contribute to students' learning. You are flexible and have an easy time adapting your teaching to changed conditions. Furthermore, you are good at building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, which creates a safe and inclusive learning environment. With your pedagogical insight, you have a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying it so that it reaches everyone. You are also development-oriented and embrace new ideas, methods, and working methods to develop teaching and operations.
