ABOUT THE JOB

We are now looking for a teacher for the adapted primary school, grades 1–6, subject area.

The adapted primary school for grades 1–6, subject area, is located at Forsdalaskolan, which is one of the municipality's primary schools. Forsdalaskolan is an F–6 school with approximately 330 students. In the adapted primary school for grades 1–6, we have 16 students distributed across subjects and subject areas. In our immediate vicinity, you will find both the Lycksele Zoo and nature that invites outdoor pedagogy.

We are looking for an engaged and competent teacher for the adapted primary school, grades 1–6, subject area. You will contribute to creating a safe, accessible, and developmental learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

As a teacher, you are pedagogically responsible for a group of students. Your duties include planning, conducting, and evaluating teaching based on the students' individual prerequisites. You will work with accessible learning environments, visual support, and clarifying pedagogy.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher. We would appreciate it if you had a special needs teacher degree with a focus on intellectual disability or equivalent education/experience that the employer deems equivalent, but this is not a requirement. It is also meritorious if you have experience teaching students studying towards subject areas and experience using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) or other compensatory aids.

We are looking for you who put the student first and feel a strong commitment to supporting and guiding students in school. You collaborate well with students, guardians, colleagues, and other staff, and communicate in a listening, clear, and constructive manner. You see collegial learning as a natural prerequisite for creating new and in-depth knowledge. As a person, you have good self-awareness, are confident in yourself and in your pedagogical leadership. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and have the ability to adapt to the needs of the operations. You make well-founded priorities, make thoughtful decisions, and maintain calm even in pressured situations. With a realistic approach and focus on what is most important, you contribute to a safe and positive learning environment for the students.
