At Mio, the customer meeting is the core of everything we do. Whether we meet the customer in the store, develop our assortment, or work behind the scenes at the service office and warehouse, we all contribute to the same goal – creating world-class customer experiences. To succeed, we believe in the power of the team. We combine business acumen, knowledge, and passion to develop both the customer experience and our operations. Here, you have the opportunity to take responsibility, contribute ideas, and help shape the future of Mio together with engaged colleagues.

Do you want to be part of creating the future of store experiences for one of Sweden's strongest brands in home and furnishings?

At Mio, we constantly develop our store concepts to create inspiring, relevant, and sales-driving customer experiences. We are now looking for a Concept Developer (Maternity Leave Replacement) who wants to help shape how our assortment meets the customer in-store through thoughtful concepts, attractive sales solutions, and inspiring environments. The role has a special focus on one or more product areas within Mio's core business – the assortment and store environments that form the foundation of our offering and the customer's experience of Mio.

About the role

As a Concept Developer, you develop and further develop store concepts within your areas of responsibility. You translate assortment strategies and commercial goals into inspiring, sales-driving, and feasible store solutions where furnishing, exposure, communication, and customer flow interact to create a unified customer experience.

You work closely with colleagues in assortment, store, marketing, and other support functions to develop concepts that strengthen both sales and Mio's brand.

Your main responsibilities

  • Develop and finalize store concepts and commercial sales solutions within your areas of responsibility.
  • Create and manage master solutions and concept materials that enable store-specific adaptations with a unified concept experience.
  • Collaborate with the assortment team to support assortment strategies, sales launches, and commercial goals.
  • Ensure feasible concepts in close collaboration with the space and concept implementation functions during renovations and new openings.
  • Develop and manage communication for base and seasonal exposure together with the marketing department.
  • Create materials for customer journeys, sales solutions, pick-up points, activation areas, and communication briefs.
  • Contribute to developing concepts, working methods, and processes based on customer behavior, sales results, and retail trends.

About you

You combine strong commercial drive with a genuine interest in customer experience, interior design, and store communication. You have the ability to see both the big picture and the details, and you thrive on turning ideas into solutions that work in practice.

As a person, you are proactive, structured, and solution-oriented. You find it easy to collaborate with many different functions and are driven by development, improvement, and creating results. We believe you have experience from retail, concept development, visual merchandising, assortment, or similar areas where customer experience and commercial results are in focus. You have a post-secondary education in areas such as marketing, communication, design, retail economics, or equivalent experience.

You have good knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Excel. Experience with pCon.planner or other 3D planning tools, as well as experience with store concepts, store development, or commercial environments, is also meritorious.

This position is a maternity leave replacement with planned employment until late spring 2027. The location is Mio's service office in Tibro. Please note that the position is fully office-based, and we do not apply remote or hybrid work.

The recruitment process will take place during the summer holiday period, which means it may take a few weeks before you receive feedback on your application. We promise to get back to you in early August when the sunburn has faded from our cheeks.

Mio is one of Sweden's leading furniture and furnishing chains with stores across the country. Since 1962, we have helped people create homes they love to live in, and we continue to develop our offering, our customer meetings, and our operations for the future. Our vision is clear – to be the largest in Sweden for furniture and to be present in every room, in every home. If you want to be part of this journey, you are warmly welcome to Mio.
