Do you want to help shape the story of Scandinavia's largest film festival?
We are now looking for an Editor to join our Marketing and Communications department. We are looking for someone who loves language, has a sharp editorial eye, can adapt editorial content to different channels, and thrives on managing large volumes of content from idea to publication.
About the role
As an Editor, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of Göteborg Film Festival's editorial content. You have special responsibility for the festival's printed program catalog, but you will also plan content for the web, newsletters, and social media.
The role involves collecting, editing, and publishing texts from various parts of the organization. You act as a unifying force for the editorial work, ensuring that the content maintains high quality, meets deadlines, and is adapted to each respective channel.
The position is part of the Marketing and Communications department and is a key person in the festival's editorial team. The work is done in close collaboration with the programming team and the events department, playing a vital role in presenting the festival's films, guests, conversations, and events to the audience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the production of Göteborg Film Festival's program catalog
- Collect, edit, and quality-assure texts from various parts of the organization
- Plan and coordinate the editorial work before and during the festival
- Proofread and language-check content for print and digital channels
- Adapt and publish editorial material on the web, newsletters, and social media
- Ensure editorial deadlines are met and content is delivered on time
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience as an editor or journalist
- Is a very good writer with a sense for language, tone, and audience adaptation
- Has experience editing, processing, and quality-assuring texts
- Is accustomed to planning and coordinating content production involving many stakeholders
- Has strong organizational skills and can drive multiple parallel processes simultaneously
- Is confident in following up on deadlines and demanding high-quality deliveries
A journalism education and experience from the culture, media, or publishing industries are meritorious.

Start date and duration
This is a full-time project position in Gothenburg. The employment runs from October 2026 to February 12, 2027.
