The Finance Department at Blekinge Institute of Technology is looking for a Controller. The Finance Department's main tasks are to be responsible for the university college's financial administration and financial management. The department now needs to recruit a temporary controller.

Job Description

In the role of Controller, you are responsible for financial planning, accounting, and financial management for several of the university college's departments and units, as well as for the externally funded projects that these departments and units carry out. The work includes tasks such as budgeting for operations and projects, financial forecasts, financial follow-ups, closing work, financial analyses, and decision support for managers and project leaders. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in the Finance Department and with managers and project leaders in departments and units. The position also includes tasks within the university college's external reporting processes.

Qualifications

You must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.

You should also have the following qualifications:

• Experience from working with accounting or financial management
• Good ability to plan your work and to work independently
• Be ambitious, engaged, proactive, flexible, and meticulous
• Good teamwork skills and a desire to develop
• Good computer skills and good knowledge of Excel
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish as well as in English

Place of Work: Karlskrona

Scope: Full-time

Start Date: 2026-10-01 or by agreement.

Duration: Temporary position from 2026-10-01 to 2027-10-31 or by agreement.
