Do you want to work on the development of electrical systems in a technically advanced product development environment? We are now looking for an experienced Packaging Engineer for an exciting assignment within the automotive industry.
About the role
You will become part of a team responsible for the development and management of the electrical platform for heavy vehicles. The work covers both wiring and physical packaging, from electrical schematics and 2D design to 3D routing and preparation of documentation for the manufacture of cable harnesses.
The role involves close collaboration with development teams, designers, and suppliers to ensure robust and high-quality technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of electrical/electronic components through installation and integration work.
- Design, develop, review, and approve technical solutions.
- Ensure that designs follow technical strategies, standards, and processes.
- Be responsible for issues related to electrical installation and wiring in ongoing and future projects.
- Participate in operational development work and work according to established processes and routines.
- Visit production facilities as needed.
- Make decisions regarding design changes and propose improved technical solutions.
- Provide technical support and coaching to less experienced colleagues.
We are looking for someone who has
- A technical education in electricity, electronics, or equivalent.
- Several years of experience in electrical design, wiring, or electrical installation.
- Very good experience with Saber for 2D design of cable systems.
- Extensive experience with CATIA V5, especially within routing of cable harnesses and power cables.
- Good understanding of electrical distribution systems and installation solutions.
- Experience from the automotive industry.

The assignment is planned to start in August and is carried out full-time with 100% presence at the customer's office in Gothenburg.
