About the job

Do you want to work in a modern, values-driven educational environment with roots dating back to 1906? Brunnsvik Folk High School is Sweden's oldest folk high school run by a popular movement, with LO and ABF as the main sponsors.

Our headquarters are located in Borlänge, and we have branch campuses in Gävle and in our original location in Brunnsvik, Ludvika. The position is based at our pleasant headquarters in central Borlänge.

At the school, we offer SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) in the folk high school style, a course based on the pedagogy and didactics of the folk high school as an alternative to other forms of study. The studies are voluntary and based on personal responsibility. They are adapted to the participants' goals and needs. Our aim is for participants to feel seen and heard, and to experience a positive study environment where their opinions, wishes, personalities, and knowledge are important for the content and design of the course. We can all learn from each other, so all knowledge and experiences are seen as an asset in our classroom. We want to spark curiosity about the language and the new country, as well as make visible and concrete the benefits of strengthening one's Swedish.

If you would like more information about the course, you can find it here: https://brunnsvik.se/kurspost/sfi (https://brunnsvik.se/kurspost/sfi)
